
Jazmine Jazmine, who is Philadelphia native, was born and raised in the city. Pam is Jazmine's mom, and has been a back-up singer for Philadelphia International Records. When she was five years old, older, her father was offered job as curator at The city's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the historical landmark. In 2005 she graduated from Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts with an alumna of the vocal music department. Sullivan began her singing career as a contralto choir for children, and then a few years later in the adult choir. Sullivan had limited exposure to secular music. She recounts how she was just 11 years old when a person requested her to sing in a solo at church. The singer wasn't quite ready to go. Then, McDonald's held a contest for kids in big cities. I had the opportunity to sing "Accept the Grace of God" in It's Showtime at the Apollo. And the public was extremely supportive. She was just 13 when she sang with Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday. Sullivan was 15 when she, was first signed to Jive Records. As a teenager she signed with Jive Records. They recorded an whole album at Jive Records, however it wasn't released. Sullivan was later dropped at the hands of the company. Her work had been in good partnership to Missy Elliott. Elliott produced several of her songs, including "Backstabbers", which was written by Timbaland.
